My Why
My name is Sensei Dave Armstrong,
I grew up as an "at-risk" youth.
My mom died when I was 12 and I bounced from group home to foster home and to juvenile detention centers.
I want to ensure we impact our youth in a more meaningful and positive way. We can and must do better. Showing up here is one way we all can "do better."

She worked in leadership positions for multiple not-for-profit organizations beginning in 2005, including Executive Director, American Heart Association, and Vice President Development for the American Lung Association of the Mid-Atlantic.

Coach Cordell is a highly energetic and outgoing individual. He beat all odds by overcoming many hardships in his childhood; living in homeless shelters and watching his mother battle drug addiction and abusive relationships. At a young age, he struggled to fit in, causing him to make some bad choices along the way. As he began to recognize his potential, his confidence grew exponentially. That’s when he decided to use his circumstances as an opportunity and not a crutch. Cordell became a leader in his community and amongst his peers and inspired others to do the same. His positive impact and energy influence others to be at their absolute best.

In 2017, Jodi became the co-founder and CEO of the Zak G. Applaud Our Kids Foundation. The foundation funds children who meet the financial needs requirements to take ongoing lessons in the performing arts for up to 15 years at performing arts studios close to their homes.

Doctors attempted to DISCOURAGE
Rahz by telling him, he could not
bodybuild or train, but he ignored
their negative words and completed
and achieved second place in a
National Amateur Body Building
Association competition. In addition,
as a personal trainer, Rahz has coached thousands of clients to life-changing transformations. Rahz especially finds great joy and fulfillment in shaping and motivating the mindsets of youth, particularly those who are “at-risk” or have difficult life circumstances.
